Exposure to UV rays does not alter its color, maintaining long-term stability without the need for special treatments.

Awood WPC is an original composite wood — a unique type of wood in the international market.

This compound is primarily composed of PVC, a thermoplastic polymer that protects the surface and is the only type that can be classified based on fire resistance. The result is a lightweight and renewable engineered material suitable for custom profiles.
THE ADVANTAGES OF PVC IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY:

THE PRODUCTION OF OUR WPC

AWood designs and manufactures both the raw material — WPC — and the finished profiles in-house through an extrusion process. This 100% on-site production cycle enables full project customization and transforms all waste materials into new raw material.

The key factors in the production of composite wood are essentially 3:


1_ RESEARCH, SELECTION AND PROCUREMENT OF RAW MATERIALS: the R&D department selects all the raw materials used during the production process such as polymers, wood fibers and in particular additives from Italian and European suppliers. This is a process in constant improvement and represents the first step that will lead to the manufacturing of products that will be installed all over the world and in any kind of climatic condition.
2_ FULL CONTROL OF THE FORMULATION: as specialized manufacturers of this material, we create internally our own formulas, which we know the limits and potential of. This allows us to provide multi-year warranties on all our systems, to guarantee safety and durability of the finished product.
3_ EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZATION IN EXTRUSION: we internally control all extrusion phases and parameters.

Once the selection of raw materials and the formula has been tested and approved, there are several factors that are involved in the actual production process:
• Compounding and measurement of the level of humidity of the material
• The homogeneous combination of all components and additives
• The temperature and melting dynamics of polymers
• Profile calibration and continuous control of physical, mechanical and aesthetic parameters
• Extrusion speed and output
• the final cut to length

Industrial extrusion through more than 50 different dies and 9 dedicated lines powered by a photovoltaic field. A closed cooling circuit that recycles water.

Hourly, visually and via software quality control. Manual brushing and finishing. Custom manufacturing with CNC machines.

Ad hoc packaging based on the type of door-to-door transport, either national by truck or overseas with containers or air.
